Win2k Boot Logo

Is it possible to change the boot logo in windows 2k pro, like you can in win 98? Probably been asked a million times before, but I can't seem to find any websites with a distinct answer.

Thnx in advance.

I followed the instructions at LWG at it worked for me (get a nice safety sign with an exclamation mark and the text "BRAIN REQUIRED"). I've also got SP4. Maybe the problem is the bitmap should be RLE compressed and it's not.

Also, boot.ini is in the root of your C drive. It's also set to hidden and read only so you may have to remove those attributes first.

Here are a couple of links. I found one that replaced the boot logo with BMW racing scenes, but lost the bookmark

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, and let us know how it goes.

remove

replace
