ummmmm no it's not. I've used it for two years - I don't give a crap about how or why NVidia implements it - of course you can use "too much" DV - but if you use it correctly it makes most other color schemes looked washed out and flat. I'll do a screenshot compare if I have to prove it.

What's with all the badmouthing of NVIDIA... so they lost a few frames in a couple development cycles... people need to stop jumping on bandwagons.

DVC is a cool feature.

I almost regretted giving up my FX 5200 Ultra for my 9800 Pro because my colors arent as bright and shiny anymore.

No, we are saying that if you take the time adjust the color, saturation, contrast, brigthness, etc. for both your video card and monitor, then you can achieve the same results as "digital vibrance."

As to image quality and color response, Matrox still reigns supreme. No software tricks there, just a quality architecture based atop a well engineered design.

Well, we get back to the whole point of this forum which hasn't been answered yet.

I'm a newbie Radeon owner looking for info.

Can ANYONE tell me what settings to put my card at in the Color tab so that I can mimic the color intensity of DV? I tried, but it was difficult for me to find anything remotely acceptable other than the default settings. I'd be grateful if someone posted a useful reply, thanks.
