Outdoors Scanner stopped working

Hi, I have Windows XP home and use a Visoneer 4800 scanner. It stopped working for some reason and has the yellow exclamation (!) in the device manager.

The error says that it won't work as some of the registry entries are missing or damaged. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it worked OK but when I rebooted it errored again.

I then deleted all it's registry entries band uninstalled it but it still won't work.

Thanks for any help

Cosmic

Welcome to the forum!

Did it ever work?? IS there a newer driver for it than the one you have?

Have you tried to use the system restore to go back to before it errored?

JP

I just had some interesting issues with a fresh reloaded dell and an HP all in one. The software went in fine. When I hooked the usb cable up, it recoginized a usb device, but then it gave an error. Hmm, weird. So I tried again, error again. I tried another usb port thinking it was a usb 2 port I had tried. Same. Hmm. Finally, to say I tried everything, I unhooked the cable from the PRINTER but left it in the comp..the replugged to the printer, and it worked, lol.
