Outlook problem...

When ever I try to sendand recieve, a window automatically pops up say "The operation failed!". How do I fix this?

what verison of outlook? express the one packaged with MS?

are you on dialup or broadband?

do you have all the latest updates?

I got the one that comes with Offic XP i think. I think I may just need to restart my computer. But i'm gaming right now so I'll do it in a while.

Check your account settings... they may have been granted some erroneous data in your ISP's Logon Information and/or Server Information. The same thing kept happening to me all day yesterday for some unknown reason (or no reason at all, lol).

Are you using an antivirus package? If so which one and is set to scan your pop email?

Does it provide any more information other than "Operation Failed!" ?

NO it didn't. I simply restarted my computer and it worked. Thanks for your help though!
