Radeon 9700 Pro AIW Problem

I purchased a Radeon 9700 Pro AIW a few months ago. Ever since using the card I've noticed that sometimes there will be tons of small 'rolling' lines moving across my monitor. They are rolling horizontal and it's very annoying.

My specs are:
Asus A7N8X-X Motherboard
1GB PC 2700 Memory
Radeon 9700 Pro AIW
Athlon XP 2400+
400W Antec Power Supply


Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks.

is the power adapter to your card also plugged into something else especially a hard drive or a fan?

if so then get it off and get the power adapter only attached to the card. thats a very power hungry card, it needs its own channel for a steady flow.

Yes the power adapter is hooked up the the HDD and a Cold Cathode Neon, I'll give it it's own line and see if it solves the problem. Thanks!

Didn't seem to work, I still see the rolling lines occasionally

Have you tested it with a different monitor yet?

Nope, Good idea. I didn't think of that because my old video card never did anything like this.
