M7 VIG PRo HELP

I have a HP xt938 and it stopped working. Push the start and it would fan would stop and power stopped at once. I started by unhooking everytning from the motherboard and still di the same thing. Put Ram in that I knew was good and same thing. Finally took cpu out and fan would run.
I bought a CPU Motherboard Combo its a Biostar M7VIG Pro. I installed it and nothing nothing on the screen. I checked all connectins. checked the monitor on another computer, Tried new Ram, unhooked Hard drive and cd , floppy one at a time and try each time. Same thing i dont even get a flicker on the screen or no sound. I do see the cd light go on and the HD lit keeps flickering and hear it running. I reset the cmos. It has built on video and saound. I took a nother video card and put it in the agp slot and still nothing. I contacted Biostar and no responce yet. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
I thought I could at leat see the BIOs on the screen?

I would check the power supply out before you go any further as it may be the sorce of your problem.

I'm having a very similar problem with the M7VIG Pro. Cannot get any video at all, and there's one repeating beep that doesn't fit any on the Phoenix Bios list of beep codes. Power supply is fine.

I have tried both DDR and SDRAM (seperately, of course), have tried both with and without an add on video card. Nothing makes any difference.

Processor (Athlon 2400) works great when I plug it into my other system, so I know it isn't the CPU, the memory, or anything other than the mobo itself.

Any thing I might have overlooked??

jerbat, have you checked your powersupply outputs to make sure that the motherboard power plug is wired as standard ATX? http://www.formfactors.org/FFDetail.asp?FFID=1&CatID=2
On page 24 of the ATX12v power supply design guide it shows the power supply pinouts. Some manufacturers used powersupplys that weren't compatible with standard ATX or mATX motherboards.

FORD, have you checked your bios chip to make shure it's pushed all the way into the socket. I used this board to upgrade the kid's PC recently. While installing the motherboard I noticed the bios chip wasn't pushed all the way into the socket.

Later I started having problems with the PC entering CMOS setup when powering on the PC. It also had an issue with the clock frequently being off. This is when I noticed the CMOS battery wasn't installed in the battery socket securely. I wonder if the shipper played frisbey with my board. After pushing on the battery it poped into the socket and the entering CMOS upon boot problem went away.

All the chips, connections, etc. were the first thing I checked. They're all good.
