Systems Camcorder to DVD Burner Process

Howdy All,

I purchased a sony DCR-PC9 DV camcorder a while ago and just recently bought a DRU510A internal PC burner. I have a IEEE firewire for transferring Camera/PC. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with transferring the video from camera/PC/Editing and then transferring to DVD? My young fella played in the Little League World Series and I took a wack of video when we were there so I'd like to edit the video in the computer and add music to clips etc. and then burn the whole thing to a DVD for the rest of the team? Will 1 DVD hold an hours worth of digital video? Also what would be the best discs to use? DVD+R/DVD+RW as this drive will apparently burn any format? I've taken alot of vido, but havn't had much experience in editing the stuff on the PC. Any tips or links to relevant websites would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,
Max

I have used Ulead Studio(? can't recall) and Pinnacle Studio 8.

Between the two I definitely like Pinnacle Studio.
It is about $75 with a firewire or capture card.

The only problem I had was a compatability issue with Pinnacle Instant Copy 7.03 and Pinnacle Studio 8.xx

Instant Copy is for duplicating DVD's. I installed it after Pinnacle Studio and it changed something that Studio needed. After getting the Instant Copy update and reinstalling Studio 8 everything was fine.
