Any good tria(demo)l or freeware games

I built a computer for an 8 yr old kid to give to him as he could not aford one. He doesn't have internet as the cheapest internet is $15 a month which is to much for him. So I was wondering if there is any trial games(demos) or freeware games a 8yr old would like. I am giving him a few that I already had also as I don't play anymore.

Knoppix (run linux from cd rom) has a TON of free games that can be played from it.......... PM me if you want me to send you some stuff.

I sort of like "aaronix" at www.real.com

The free version is 5 screens of the "easy" level. Probably perfect for him (and me, hehe)

Im not sure about the whole "real one arcade" ..not really sure what that entails, when I dl'ed aaronix it was over a year ago and ther "arcade" thing wasnt attached to it so Im not sure how that affects anything.
