HL2 = BAD FPS!

Did you all hear? There will be a Half-Life 2 Benchmark program relleased Sept 30th. YES!

Sorry GeForce FX owners, looks like HL2 is gonna suck on all FX cards. The ti 4600 performs better. The Radeon 9600 is the best bang for your buck if u want to upgrade and play HL2. The Radeon 9800 tends to "kick ass".

Cool I thought, I was gonna buy a 9800 in a few weeks, too.

Then I thought to myself exactly what does "kick ass" mean? To mena that would mean I could play @ at least 1280x1024 resoltuion, full detail and get at least 60+ fps? Right?

Well ,I have been reading a lot of articles about it, and I came across one shocking line.

Well, this only adds to my thought that ATI/Nvidia is planning a suprise release a few weeks/months after HL2 is released and optomize the video card to play the game flawlessly. I'm sticking to that hypothesis.

Why is it so low? Only 60 FPS with a Radeon 9800 pro? At least we now know that HL2's engine is extremely powerful.

You got your answer. HAlf-Life 2 phases it, very well.

Are you going ot buy a 9800 Pro and settle for just 60 FPS or wait untill the next card comes out.

Yeah I already saw that, pretty nice. I cant wait for this game. I dont know what card Im going to get. Im going to build whole new system eventually.

the funny thing is is that the FX cards kick ass on Doom 3 and the radeons suck... conspiracy?? i think so...

wow, i didnt know that? Any reviews to benchmarks for doom3? Is there even one? If they are benchmarking thta leaked version or whatever, those results cant be used as real.
