Help me PLZ!!

ok, i reformatted my computer, and it seems that whenever i do something with video, run a video clip, try and play a game like counter strike, it freezes when i click a server. on diablo 2, my comp freezes when it says like blizzard entertainment and all the makers crap. this prolly has something to do with the video card? i got a geforce3 ti 200....hm i dunno what to do, i tried reformatting again, installing the newest drivers on nvidia.com, but the newest drivers make my comp freeze like when i click on the counterstrike icon, as opposed to click on a server, RAWR!! Help plz? I also got directx 7.1

ok, im not even sure what my mobo is

im also running windoes ME, prolly the worst os in existence..

-thx

What are your temps running at?

What are your complete system specs?

Are you using the latest Windows ME drivers??

Have you tried using Windows Update?

David

Temps=Temperature i.e. what temperature is your CPU and system running at? if you can touch the heatsink on the cpu and hold it there for a few seconds it's fine. Shouldn't have too much of a heat problem with a 750mhz though, so that's probably not anything to worry about.

What brand/model is your motherboard?

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your motherboard and chipset!!

Just a thought, but why don't you try taking all but one stick of RAM out and then try it, if you still get the same results, swap it for another stick of RAM and try again.

Or, better yet, go HERE and download MemTest86 and check you system memory. I don't know why but something tells me it could be the RAM. It's worth a shot...

HTH,

David

EDIT: Pardon my lack of alertness, and...

Welcome to TechIMO!!

do you have the latest driver for your video card? I think that error with OpenGL is probably that. If you don't have it, check www.nvidia.com and download the latest driver for you GeForce. Also Windows Memory Eater is not a great deal, amybe you could get a new OS if you can, or why not 98? Just suggestions since Windows Might Explode is horrible.
