At Home Ez-D DVD's explained

Well I just saw yet another horrible commercial advertising Ez-D DVD's that are said to last 2 days with unlimited plays. I was intrigued about how a piece of hardware without power or time keeping capability could know when 48 hours was over.

well, the following link explains it all:

How interesting with their degredation process. Although you guys can still rip 'em and burn 'em, no soft locks or scramblers on these... so pretty much a regular DVD just with a biological clock on it.

what's your take on them? will you by them? Also interesting, the point about landfill arrangements, think of the millions of coasters.
