Well I just saw yet another horrible commercial advertising Ez-D DVD's that are said to last 2 days with unlimited plays. I was intrigued about how a piece of hardware without power or time keeping capability could know when 48 hours was over.

How interesting with their degredation process. Although you guys can still rip 'em and burn 'em, no soft locks or scramblers on these... so pretty much a regular DVD just with a biological clock on it.
what's your take on them? will you by them? Also interesting, the point about landfill arrangements, think of the millions of coasters
