Dell 8250 Hidden partition?? Restore...

I have a Dell 8250 P4 that I need to restore. It has XP home.

I notice it has some sort of partition on it with hardware diagnostics. Is that a hidden partition?

How does that affect my restore procedure?

I am assuming for restore I just put in the Winxp home disk and reinstall windows choosing to format the partition....I am just trying to be sure not to overwrite the hardware diagnostic partition.

Any ideas??

Yes.

During the installation, you'll be asked which partition to install on. Choose the C drive.
