Urgent: NTSC miniDV cam in PAL country

Hi there

I live in Greece which is registered to PAL TV system. I want to buy a miniDV camera from USA which is NTSC system. My TV set is compatible with NTSC.
The question I have is: When i make my movies into SVCD format, will I have a problem? Do SVCD format have PAL or NTSC system? Are there any other problems that might occur?

The SVCD can be either PAL or NTSC.

That would not be a problem at all.

But will it be such of big difference in price to go for a NTSC, instead of the PAL that is in use Greece?

The difference is about 200 Euros. I can find it about 800 since in Greece it is sold about 1000...

It mait not be worth for that much then, even for the AC adapter plus other accesories. You have also have to think about the delivery.
