Systems Nero Issues

2 Issues -

1) I can't get Nero 5.5 to recognise my Sony CRX300E... is this a widespread problem... My friend did have the problem with his Sony drive (not the same model) and only solved it by upgrading to Nero 6... is there another way around this?

This leads me onto problem 2

2) Upon attempting to install a copy of Nero 6 (borrowed from above friend to test the above) I got an error referring to the AIFF Audio driver saying it could not be installed... Anyone else found a similar error and found a way around it?

1) I once had CRX-100 which was VERY old, is crx-300 old? If it is, perhaps a fw upgrade will help.

2) AIFF shouldn't be a mandatory in nero, so the install should work fine without it.

the CRX300E is SONY's newest CD-RW/DVD combo drive... has all that turbo mode stuff...
I originally thought it was just cos I didn't have any ASPI drivers installed, cos no other apps could see it, but since I installed them now they all can... except Nero 5.5, which still only shows the Virtual Device as an option

as for the AIFF issue, it cancels the installation after like 10% done without a 'skip' option...

Oh ok, if it's brand new, older nero versions might not recognize it. See ahead site on what version will recognize the burner.

Also, try get nero6 demo from ahead site and see if it installs fine.
