Kazaa is not 'Connecting'
Theres a problem with my Kazaa software that it fails to connect to the server. Internets fine, surfing is okay. A friend of mine said that, it must have been the proxy settings. Is it because of the proxy? Coz currently im studying at a university and using telephone line under the main server here. How could i get my kazaa connected with other kazaa's? Is there any command prompt or anything like that?
It says on the bottom left hand corner, "Connecting...", but never connecting. Is the main server blocking it from connecting? Is there any way at all to go through this? Please I need help for my work!

Are other people in your univ able to access kazaa?
It maybe the Univ. is blocking kazaa altogether (very possible these days)

last time i check, there arent many of them using this kind of software, due to different courses. So far, i have a friend who uses this Kazaa program and she faces the same problem.
Lots of friends i met says it could be the blocking problem. I dont know why univ. blocking it.
A couple weeks ago, a friend of mine says that his friend can get his kazaa connected, by changing some command prompts. I asked him to bring his friend to me and work my problems out for any possibilities. He said alright but until now his friend never show up
I still believe that there must be a way to connect it. Probably its got something to do with commands or whatever...

I love of my friends that are in college can't use ANY p2p programs. Sucks. Don't know what to say. I told them to move out of the dorms.
I thought it was a violation of freedom of speech.

the usual files that i normally downloads are videos, mp3s , pictures of animation stuff like that, and documents. I think some of it are one of the reasons why univ. blocking it. They dont want their students messing around and turn out 'freaks'. But it isn't fair for other users who uses it for the sake of their work.

Yep, story of the world. One bad apple ruins the bunch.
Or as in my life: The one good apple wonders why in the heck it was put with all these bad ones.
"Stop the world; I want off!"

IMO they have every right to shut down those P2P programs.. while it sucks, the bandwidth is there for work and education.. not downloading music (yes I'd be upset if they cut off my access as well, but not much you can do about it)

that is complete hypocrisy. Downloading flash tutorials, HUGE PDF files for studing and all that other crap uses just as much bandwidth. Why do they jsut cut p2p programs? Who is to say that these programs won't be used to school purposes. You could Xfer files to ppl in the campus! 2) Just because they cant use Kazaa, you think that makes it impossible to waste bandwidth on other useless things?
What about 1500k/s streaming radio stations. If I were you I would get everybody you know to listen to some 1500k/s radio stations and swamp the place.
Freedom of choice.
