A: Stay away from the GF 4 MX.

B: Chaintech Geforce FX 5200 64MB DDR $63 Newegg

C: Prolink Geforce FX5200 128MB 64bit W/TV/DVI , 8X AGP $66 Newegg

D: VGA CHAINTECH Geforce FX 5200 128MB DDR $69 Newegg

E: Plenty of 9200 ATi's for under $70.

But I think I;d rather have the FX5200 128.

Do you know waht Intel Celerons are? The Geforce MX's are the celerons of the video card world.

A GeForce 4 MX is just a GeForce 2 card with a new heatsink.

The GF4 MX has the same performance as the GF 2 MX. The GF 2 MX was a great budget card. But, by today's standards, it stinks. The same goes for the GF4. You can get a GF3 Ti200, GF 4 ti4200 or GF FX 5200 for less than $10 more, yet have 5 times the card.

He is exagerating a little. They did not do this exactly. They did some reengineering, but there was really no performance boost.

This is a little dated, but it shows what we are talking about:
