I dunno, but I get it everyonce and a while. I'll post something and ZOOM! have to log in again. Perhaps it's just a bugaboo that still needs to be ironed out. The site's been nutty lately.

You lost me on the flashing the cache.. I have not heard of that one (yet). You do have to have cookies enabled however...is that a possibility?..Personally, I have not had that problem...so, it must be something unique to your machine?..

Clearing your cache will not have any effect. It sounds as if your system is having problems with cookies.

Make sure that when you log in, the "Remember me each time." thing is checked off.

TechIMO is the only forums I have problems with, I am a member on other Forums that use the same software so it not a cookies problem.

other problems I get is Mickwish keeps on getting on my ignore list no matter how many time I remove him from it, im often not on the online users list, the new threads up the top hasnt updated in ages.

I think its actually due to some Caching settings that Scott is tweaking on TechIMO itself...

I personally have never seen any of the problems, but many people have had various problems.

And the people on the ignore list, i think thats actually a database problem they were having a week or so ago... Any new messages from mickwish & the others it effected (i know i was one of them hit by the database glitche) should be fine. But some random older messages will show that either the member is deleted or is on your ignore list...

Edit: But as far as your original question, "flushing your cache" just means to delete the temporary internet files & cookies.

Edit2: oh... i think i have seen some things cause by the cache tweaking scotts doing... Occasionally i wont get the quick reply box down the bottom of some threads...
