Amamax PSU died on me......

Well I just got a brand new PSU (came w/ PC Case from Amamax). All was well until I added my dual UV cathode light. I shutdown, put my anti-static wrist band on, plugged it in, (unplugged my antistatic), and then booted up........I heard a click/spark noise (no real spark, just sounded like it) and it shutdown.......i tried turning it on again....it didnt do anything.....damit!!! a new psu and it shutdown on me! there is no switch on the back, and i tried reseting the switch on my surge protector as well as moving it to other sockets etc. By that time i was pretty dam worried and pist So i tried my old power supply.....well the good ol allied 300w works good. name brands, the ONLY way to go......after this i dont think i'll ever buy an off brand again.......

any suggestions? i just bought a new case for the psu and now im going to go have to buy another power supply. (making sure its name brand this time....

Sounds like you got a bad PSU... can you return it?

I like Enermax myself, clean, stable, reliable and quiet!

some power supplies have a fuse inside, probably soldered, but if it was not a bad fuse you have to find what blew the fuse in the first place. That is if you can't return it
