Kids Problem with MS-6367 athlon motherboard

Hi, I had recently purchased this motherboard off of a company through ebay. The problem I have is that once I had installed it, it starts up and says "mouse not found, not installed" but there is a mouse and keyboard connected. Niether one works and i have no clue to why. This is the second time I have had this problem, the 1st time, i sent it back to him for a new one....Is there something im doing wrong..or...is this a motherboard problem/short.

Are they USB mouse and keyboard or PS/2?

If they're PS/2, have you got them switched around wrong. The keyboard should go towards the very back or the bottom, depending on if it's a desktop or tower case.

If they're USB, can you still push the key to get into the BIOS. You may just need to enable USB Legacy support and/or tell it you don't have a PS/2 mouse.

Hmm, if it's the second time this happened, I'd suspect the keyboard and mouse, not the mobo.

I notieced on MSI's site that it's PC99 compliant. That means you should have a purple connector for the keyboard and teal connector for the mouse. They also only go in one way, make sure you didn't break the little plastic pin(s) off inside the mouse/keyboard and that you're not forcing them in the connectors incorrectly.

And of course, he/she/whoever could have just sent you the same mobo back. Try a different, WORKING FROM ANOTHER SYTEM, keyboard and mouse. If it still don't work, I'd ask for a refund.

I tried 2 different mice and keyboards but none of them worked. I sent an email to the guy i bought it from and now I can only wait. I really dont want to spend another $15 to send it back to him...this would be the second time i did this...
Thanks for all your help..
