Kids Reading a Stack Dump

Is there a website or something that someone might know of for help interpreting a stack dump? Or is this something that can only be understood by a programmer? I have some programming experience but I dont know how to read a stack dump or memory dump. Or actually, i want to be able to read the file that is produced by Dr. Watson. Is there really any useful information in there for a non programmer? I am just the Sys Admin looking for more ways to trouble shoot problems.

Thank you.

I'd say you probably want some Debugging Tools

Thanks for the link EvilRick, but i am not sure that is what i need. Although i have downloaded it and will experiment with it.

Here is one case where i am not sure if reading the Dr. Watson log is usefull. Then information store on my Exchange 5.5 server has stopped 4 times recently. It all started when SobigF came out. I had the antivirus patch installed already but i am not sure if my server is getting overloaded with alot of SobigF income that the information store and internet mail services are stopping. There is a Dr. Watson log created for each event, and i dont know if reading it will help me solve my problem.

Quick question, is your Exchange server Standard or Enterprise?

If it's Standard edition you may have hit the 16GB information store limit with all the garbage mail that SoBig would have created.

If it's Enterprise edition then I'm not sure.

Look in the Event Viewer log first. It will have some useful information and will tell you pretty much if that's the problem or not (the IS hitting it's max size).
