Hey all, I just stumbled across this forum while looking for some answers to a couple problems I'm having. Maybe you all can help. I've already tried using the search feature but either I stink at finding what I need (not usually the case) or the answer I need is not out there yet.
Here's the problem. Here at work we have recently had to replace our servers with new ones due to flooding and so forth. So on one of the old machines (dell poweredge 4200) we decided to rebuild it and sell it on Ebay or something. So I replaced the Motherboard which was damaged in the flood. I also took the processor out of the other machine which was not salvagable and put it into this machine. So it now has duel 333mhz processors. (Pathetic eh?

)
Ever since starting with this machine it has been nothing but trouble. I put 6 different HDs in it since old ones were damaged as well. So I had to create a new container and initilize it. So far so good, right? Next came installing Win 2000 on it so we could finished setting it up to sell. I go through the set up process and it seems to be working fine but then when I reboot after the set up it comes up and says: "Disk Read Error - press ctrl-alt-del to restart"
My co-administrator and I think we know that the problem comes down to it needed the RAID driver updated. But we can't find the right RAID controller that will work. We've contacted Dell and asked them about it but they couldn't get us the right one either. I finally got to where I thought I had it but then it came with the famos NTLDR message but that is fixed nowand it is back to the Disk Read Error. Do you guys think it is the RAID driver that I need or something else that is causing this error?
Oh, and just for your information ever since we wiped the old container and created the new one we haven't had a OS running on it. We've been fighting with this problem since then. Any ideas/suggestions?
Sorry for the long post, tried to give as much detail as I could to help you guys help me.

Thanks in advance,
