Abit Siluro Ti4400 fan clips fan wire - any suggestions?

Hello. This is driving me NUTS... I hope you can help.

I've had an Abit Siluro Geforce4 Ti4400 for a while now. I've occasionally had problems with the GPU fan clipping the GPU fan power wire. The only way to stop this clipping noise was to pull the wire taught down. I'd try to develop aparati (aka stuff to stick in there) to get it to stop. They'd usually work pretty well and maintain my sanity. Note--when the PC is laid down (and the video card is vertical), I don't have this problem.

Anyway, I'm at college and these techniques aren't working anymore. I can't get the fan wire to stop clipping. I have to sleep in the same room as this thing, and it's driving me nuts. Any suggestions? I really don't want to have to replace all this. I doubt it's under warantee, even if it did cover something like this. I've tried to create things to weight it down and all to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Take a small piece of electrical tape and stick the wire to the card under the fan.

Thanks, but there's nowhere on the card to tape it to where it stops clicking. It's clicking it inside, right where the wire comes out of the fan. It's not clicking it where it's hanging, if you know what I mean...

OIC. Does the wire have to go through some fins on the heatsink? If so, unplug the wire and twist it up till it's tight against the outside of the fins, then plug it back in.

Uh oh,, in trying to tie and mangle the cord, the power connecting end broke off. Now it has no fan. Is it OK like this? I had another one that ran fine with a broken fan, but I don't want this to screw it up. Any suggestions?

Did the pins come out of the connector? Or did the wires pull out of the pins? If it was just the pins, you should be able to just push them back into the connector.
If the card is not overclocked it may be okay for a while. I'm sure if you contact Abit, they will send you a new fan.

The wires pulled out of the pins... It's about 15 months old, so I hope it [the warantee] works...
