Rotate an AVI?

I have an AVI/DV that my mother shot with the camera sideways (it looked normal on the little screen!) and it is some really good footage of my nephew and I would like to rotate it back to verticle. Pinnacle studio doesnt have this function. Any ideas?

Absolutely................."VirtualDub"!!!!!!! virtualdub.org

I can't remember the details exactly but my wife had done the same thing & Virtual Dub did the trick! Once you've downloaded the program, open the video in the program, then check the menus for rotating the video. IIRC, it was pretty straightforward & rather easy. Also, it makes an easy job of saving as divx once you're done..........(I turned a 27mb AVI clip into a 10mb divx clip & the quality was nothing less than excellent........especially for such a cut in size!!!!!!) Enjoy!!
