Got a dead PC
Its about 700 miles away so bear with me.
She pulled out a USB card and (I think) reinstalled the card...
now the machine won't boot up.
She pulled out the USB card altogether and still no work
Pulled video card - still no work
Pulled out a stick of ram - still no work.
She's going to put in another vid card and try it..
I'll also suggest taking out the rest of the cards
Its an older PC around 166Mhz or something
I don't know what kind of mobo, or BIOS unfortunately... but maybe able to get that when I have a few more minutes.
Its POSTS .. and I can't tell exactly what the beeps are but its not normal.
Its either a long, short short.. or just 3 shorts really fast.
According to this
http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/reference/biosb.htm
3 Short Beeps Memory failure in the first 64 KB.
Anything I can do about that!?
Anything else we can try?
