Everglide Mouse Pad

Does anyone use the Everglide giganta mouse pad? I've had one for about a year and it wore out, the textured plastic is smooth in alot of spots is this normal?

I dont use one, but it doesnt seem like something that a quality product would do. I think i'll steer clear of that particular pad and go with a ratzpad

I can't use those plastic ones. My hand sweats too much. I prefer the regular cloth ones.
