Problem w/Print Server of Netgear FM114P

I keep getting an error message of "printer error or busy". I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, ports and printers and have power cycled the router, printer and all computers. Still no luck. It appears that the print server is not "clearing". It worked fine for several months, and now....nothing!

Now, I can't even set it up to share; because there is a "jam" in the system somewhere that I cannot seem to fix. Netgear's Tech Support has not been able to resolve the problem for me either. Any suggestions or assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Bad cable or bent pins perhaps?

Thanks to both of you for your replies. Yes, I have the latest firmware update and no, the cable is ok (I tested it as a direct connection to LPT1 of one of the computers) and, as best as I can tell, there are no bent pins.

I am still puzzled by my problem and figure that an RMA is my only real option at this point, unless someone has other suggestions, to which I am VERY open!

Thanks again!

I found no solution and ultimately had them send me a new unit. I had already spent way too much time trying to fix it, talk to their techs, etc.

Their RMA policy was pretty generous. If yours is still under warranty (or close to it, if already out of warranty), I'd recommend doing that.

Good luck!
