start up issues

when i boot my pc, along with the other programs that open on start up, my C drive folder opens as well. how can i stop this from happening?

Does it happen everytime or did it happen just once?

if you shutdown wrong with the drive folder open, it will be open again when you come back.

Did that even make sense?...haha.

I have a similar problem on one of my comps. I cant remember when it started but it was after I installed a certain program I think.

Mine is WinME and I have a 30g drive that is partitioned into 3 sections. What will happen sometimes is that when it boots one or two or all of the folders will open..such as "c:main" and/or "d:restore"" etc.

It doesnt happen everytime...just randomly. I have never bothered to post a question up for it....then again I have never seen an answer or article concerning it either.

Its a pain because it just adds to the length of the boot process.

only the c folder opens....it happens every time i boot

Yeah, it seems to have to do with the partitions...cuz I think mine started after I split up mine into 3 partitions with partition magic.
