Warning!! CPU have been removed
I am building a PC that I just bought the parts for and I am having a helluva a time to get it to boot.
Here's the details:
Asus A7N8X Deluxe nforce2 Athlon(XP)/Duron SktA DDR ATX Motherboard
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 2.0GHz Processor
Kingston KVR333X64C25K2/1G 1GB Kit DDR333 PC2700 Memory
On bootup I receive the error:
"Warning!! CPU have been removed"
Any thoughts on what this means. I can't get past the error. This is on the first bootup ever.

Forgot to mention!!!
On bootup the bios says
AMD ATHLON XP 1800+
1048576K memory OK
Obviously the processor speed is wrong, so is it not recognizing it or something?

Have you removed and reseated the cpu? As for the speed, what do you have the fsb speed set to in the bios? It should be 133.

Go ahead and clear your bios while you're at it.

Okay both steps done, more questions?!?!
Okay, cleared BIOS and reseated CPU.
In the bios now to restore all settings.
Two questions
What is the CPU External Frequency?
100
133
166
200
And currently Memory Frequency is set to "By SPD" and the next line says "Resulting 166 MHZ"
Thanks for your input ....

it should be 133mhz. The Memory frequency should be run By SPD or 100% ... either should work fine.
