Which Graphics Card should I buy?

I'm currently considering either the Radeon 9800 or the GeForce FX 5600 Pro. Which one would be better? The GeForce is a little cheaper. I'm going for that $250 or less range. Any other suggestions?

The 9800 is probably a better card ... it's newer.

The 9800 IS better, but the questions remains, which has more bang for the buck as the 5600 is, as you said, cheaper.

i wouldn't even spend that much for a video card, maybe around the $100s but not $200s and they may come out with something new and more improved
