HSF Question

Hey I have a Volcano 11+ and I have it so it automatically sets fan speed by the heat of the cpu....my cpu is at about 47C and the fan is running at 4900rpm...I know that at 55C it should be running at 4800. Is it maybe not reading right so that it is always running at 4800..I would like to get this fixed soon cuz at 4800 it runs at 48db and it sounds like a vaccum in my computer :0)..plz help quik ty

It seems that at 4900rmp it's keeping the cpu at 47c. Slowing the fan down may cause the temp to rise.

you did use a good thermal paste, correct? 47 idle seems high unless you're overclocking.

Yes I am using Arctic Silver 3. I got up this morning and turned it on and decided to go into the BIOS real fast to check how fast the fan was running and what the temp was of the cpu. The fan was running again at 4900 and the cpu was 100F. Like 39C. SO I think that I should play with the thermal probe and get it to work right

The reading you get from your motherboard will never be perfectly accurate ... and 48dba does sound like a vacuum
