bonzai linux

has anyone used bonzai before, or have any information about it, i havent been able to find much info on it in english and my german isnt what it used to be in high school.

It's really a modified version of Debian. Better Installer (IMO), smaller CD (compressed) and even an autoconfigurer. But other than that, it's Debian in disguise!

define autoconfigurer? You mean once installed, or it should have hardware autodetection type stuff during the install?

it has decent hardware detection during the install. However, it can be a bit challenging the first time you install it. But, nothing compared to a regular woody install, at least from what I hear. I have installed Bonzai but not woody. I like Bonzai but I wish there were more english based help files. If you are fairly comfortable with Linux, Bonzai is a good way to get a good base Debian install without all the bloat of something like knoppix. It does come with KDE which is positive in my opinion.
