Strange directory names on my HD

Hello All,

I was just doing a virus scan on my computer, and I saw that it was scanning THOUSANDS of files under these directories on my 2nd hard drive:

~JSA.000
~JSrc.000
~JTrg.000

It looks like they contain a backup of the directory structure of the drive. All of the directories are there, replicated under these three directories.

What are these things? Something that Windows XP does? Something related to a Restore Point? Something a virus may have done?

Any insight would be appreciated...
