Outdoors Animation problem with gif's ...

Fellow Websters:

I am maintaining a 5-page site. I was "volunteered" for the position ...

In any event, when updating data on a page then looking at it from my C drive in an I.E. browser window, the gif's animate fine. When I upload to the FTP server, the animation quits. This happened with two different animated gifs.

What's going on? I'd appreciate you sharing your experience.

Thx a lot!

Brangwen

PS: Just using Notepad with tags.

Droppyale:

Thanks ... I'll try that. I have a particular animated gif over a "mailto:" tag and it used to work on the pages then they seemed to quit. Should I delete replicas of the same gif residing on the server also?

Thx.

you have replicas of the same gif / gifs?

you should delete the ones on the server, and reupload the ones you need once.

there shouldn't be replicas.

unless you have diferent versions of a gif?
