No video signal? No problem. Here's the fix

Today many motherboards require much power to run the latest and greatest components. Fortunately, or Unfortunately, I was bombarded by a friend with his new computer why there wasn't any video signal. So I told him the usual, reseat vid card, ram, cpu. That didn't work, so I told him take a working video card and plug it in. Still no video signal. It took me like a minute or two to confirm there was no video with a working card then I was thinking, no video on a working one, and since his computer is a P4, I figured it must have been the power, as he said everything else worked except for the video, fans were spinning, the works. So I told him to confirm that all the auxillary power was plugged in, the ATX power connector, and the 12v line, the little square. So now, he's flying on his 2.4C P4, and alot of other details I can't remember . So if you have no video signal(s), on a new build, make sure you have the power connectors securely in place.

exchange for a replacement board. RMA'd as a repair.

If I could have convinced the wife to spend the extra money, I would have paid the restocking fee and gotten the Asus board instead.

If I get another bad board though, I'll be talking to NewEgg on the phone and dealing with it that way. I'll definetely put up a post when I get the board from them next week.
