SATA write probs
Hello,
My problem is that I'm doing a clean install onto a Serial ATA drive (no IDE hard drives installed). Problem is, there's no "native" support as for IDE, so first thing to do is to provide XP Setup with the driver off a floppy. No probs there, and formatting went well. However, once files are being copied, I get that same IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL problem, from the sys file that I just loaded off the floppy- I'm therefore assuming its a conflict between the on-board SATA/RAID controller and ??? something else on-board I definitely haven't yet installed the drivers for (clean install, as I said).
Is there a way to manually set IRQs through the BIOS? That might solve it...
Otherwise I think I'll try disabling as much as I can via BIOS until I get XP on the disc, and then let XP do the rest.
Any advice?
