I really need help (tv-out gforce fx 5900 problem)

Hi
i have a geforce fx 5900 and im trying to make it work on my 15" television using the adapter and the RCA video cable given with the kit

When I boot the computer it will apear on the TV and monitor but as soon as windows loads the TV will stop displaying and go black

Im running windows XP with amd XP 2000+ and 256mb pc2700

Ive tried every possible combination with the nview display mode and I have unsuccessfully managed to make it work
here is the odd parts
on my cd I have the detonator 44.3 drivers, when those drivers are installed the nview is in my settings but I cant make the TV to display my desktop. I was told it was because i needed newer drivers so I download version 45.23 now when I reboot the nview is not in the settings any more!
even if I reinstall the WDM drivers the nview still does not show so if I reinstall version 44.3 then it shows up again!
why does it do that?

Now here is the other odd thing
I even tried to use the nvidia refresh rate fix to put all resolution to a default 60hertz refresh rate because I was told a TV must be at 60 aven then it doesnt work
I also tried every resolution going as low as 640x480
Now this is what I dont get
If i go to add/remove and uninstall the nvidia drivers and reboot IT WORKS
My screen show up on the TV (clone)
what is up with that?
How come when I install the nvidia detonator drivers it doesnt work and when I uninstall them and dont reinstall them it works!
this really puzzles me because it doesnt make any sence

I hope someone can provide me with some answer or maybe a way to actually make it work with the latest detonator drivers!

try checking an nvidia forum, they are more likely to have identified (and maybe fixed) the problem u r having now

do u need the new drivers? i know there are alot of updates, but if u r having absolutely no problems, and are happy with how the old drivers run, just use the old ones.

who manufactured ur board? try getting drivers from the board manufacturer as opposed to nvidia.com, often the board manufacturers put in their own "tweaks" and make custom versions of nvidias drivers

try things (that probably wont work, from experience) like updating m/b drivers etc

try a fresh install, uninstall all the current drivers, shut the computer down, reboot and install the new 'detonator' drivers first up, without first installing the old drivers

let me know if any of this works (it will be quite time consuming)
