a7v8x Deluxe No Sound!

I just built a new system with a new a7v8x mobo and it wont play sound. It says that the hardware is setup correctly and the nforce sound program shows that sound is being played but I am get nothing out, i have tried 2 pairs of speakers both of with work elsewear and nothing! I have tried disabling onboard sound then renableing and still nothing. I am out of ideas asides for a bios update. If you guys have any ideas that would be great, thanks.

- what about windows mute function? or the windows volume?

- what about the codec you use (if it was winamp: check preferences -> output)

- Where you trying to hear audio cds? - If yes: probably you forgot to attach the cd-rom - to - soundcard(on mobo) - cable

- Check the devices Manager if you have a conflict with the card or if it is probably deactivated...

- Load some new drivers from the web
