check printing software

OK here's the deal I have used versacheck software for quite some time to print blank checks on check stock to be filled out at a later time and a few months ago I purchased a HP multifunction printer and it doesn't like the software as it causes the printer to freeze til I reboot. So what I'm asking is does anyone use check printing software that allows to print blank checks like you would purchase from your bank and what the software is called. I have sent several emails to versacheck to get it straitened out and have yet to get one reply.

We just purchased Checksoft Premium. Don't look at this software. More headaches from the start than AOL.. We were going to look at Versacheck. Do you know if this problem you are having is common with this software? I know checksoft doesn't see my LaserJet printer so we had to print using a usb connected epson versus the network printer.

I never had any problem til I went to a 3in1 printer and I hate to have to leave to printers connected just to print checks but I may end up having to.

MDS,
It been a while since I've only had once printer connected to a machine. The printer that we are using for the checks is a 3in1, Epson CX5200. Our default printer is an HP LaserJet 5 which is a network printer and the other printer connected to that machine is an Epson 960 and is only used for photographs. Also running a NEC SuperScript 4400N on the network but not sure how long that will stay do to the lack of being able to get parts for it. Been a problem since the day it was purchased but can't throw it away yet because of the cost of the thing.

WOW!! 150 checks for $43.00! I think if I have to I will stick with the PIA Checksoft program. We too are also using quickbooks but don't want to pay that kind of price for checks. If we stay with Checksoft and use it as a plugin with quickbooks we can purchase our checks at a lower cost. 900 checks for $19.99.
