IBM ThinkPad 600E / Toshiba CDROM
Thank you for the the welcome and the response!
I thought of redirecting the BIOS to recognize CDROM first. Of course this was after I drove myself crazy with the drivers for toshiba. The BIOS adjustment worked great!
Maybe you could help me with another question. I installed IBM Thinkpad 600E supplemental info. (When you do not install WIN98SE with the recovery CD it came with, (this is a used laptop purchase), IBM tells you to install supplemental info for WIN98SE enhancements.) Did that and everything on this install worked great. The only thing I see in Device Mgr. that looks strange are two secondary IDE controllers and no Primary IDE. Is this right? There are no conflicts at all.
On my first install of WIN98SE prior to the supp. info. the Primary IDE was there and had a conflict of Code 15 and the two Secondarys were there also (both with Code 14 conflicts, at the time). What are your thoughts?
Thank you again. Very appreciated!
