Dell 15" Flat Panel Moniter Flashing. HELP!!!!

My Dell moniter flashes quickly (flickers?) black and then back to the normal screen. I'm still able to see outlines of windows but not well enough to actually use the computer. Sometimes it's just a really light flicker where the screen looks like it's shaking and other times it goes completely black for a period of time.

My computer (all from Dell) is only a year old and runs Windows XP.

It doesn't do anything to turn on or off the moniter and when I shut down the computer it flickers through the whole shut down process.

I really need some help!! Even if it's just guesses. My warrenty is done and I don't have the money to buy a new moniter!

I'd call Dell up anyway and tell them whats going on. your monitor should not be doing that after a year of usage. If they refuse to fix it or replace it, you do have rights uder the "Lemon Laws Statute" in your state....dont quote me on that though....different states have different laws.
