k7s5a Pro powering off all the time

I just got one with an AMD XP 2400 and I got it all together and now when I turn it on it says my CMOS settings are wrong and will randomly power off. Sometimes I can get into the BIOS settings and change things but than it might shut off again. Can you help me get this set-up?

most the time issues like this with that board are power supply or ram issues . i would try the ram first . if you are using 2 sticks use 1 to load the os . and speaking of that you will want to do a clean install of your os also .

You might try changing out your CMOS battery. It's cheap and may fix it for you.

Also, try one stick of memory for awhile and see if that helps.

Every now and then my my (K7s5a non pro) board does the same thing...

BTW: Welcome to Techimo!
