Outdoors GA-7DPXDW-P deceiving!!

Ok,

I don't know if I'm the one messing up or what. Here is the situation.

New computer.

- GA-7DPXDW-P

- Dual Processor Palomino 1.2GHz + Volcano 7+

- PC2100 non-ECC 512Mb in slot 1
- PC2100 non-ECC 256Mb in slot 2

- Western Digital 40Gb Drive (WDC400)

- Toshiba DVD-Rom

- Sony Floppy Drive

etc....

Now when I try to setup XP Pro and I set the bus speed at 133MHz with the jumper, I get stop errors, cannot complete install etc etc... I tried every single possibilities I could think of even using Promise etc... Nothing works. The only way for me to set it up is by using the bus speed at 100MHz. Which makes my processors to run at 900MHz instead of 1.2 GHz.

I have no idea what to do anymore, I'm about to return the damn motherboard and get another one but I wanted to check with you guys to see if I was messing up something or if other people had the same situation.

Thanks!

TZ

woops

Forgot to mention.

When I complete the install by plugging DVD&HDD on IDE 3 (or the non-promise IDE 1). with FSB 100MHz, windows XP looks really unstable, every time I restart it says that the system recovers from a crash. The drivers for the keyboard always gets lost, need to reinstall driver for it etc...

Thanks,
TZ
