why isn't my monitor working?

Is it a new monitor?
Is it an old monitor?
When did it last work?

Give a lot more information so You can fix it.

Yes, more detail would be VERY helpful please!! It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack with that kind of info!

Check the pins on the back of the connecter first, make sure none are bent. Fixed a few this way but they have to come on first.

If its just not turning on, this one is probably out of your league. Spare parts arent easy to come by and narrowing down problem even worse.

Had one i had to keep power button wedged in with an xacto blade, wouldnt stay on otherwise. Worked well 2 years like that.

It was a 2nd hand 17" MAG CRT I got. Was only that it wasn't set properly. He fixed it himself by resetting the user specs on the front panel.

Pity he never came back and told anyone.

I'll have a word to him.
