Just Dodged a Virus
I just checked my email (Eudora) and lo and behold, a Norton window pops up and says it has quarantined a virus. It was a fake email posing as one from Microsoft.

W32.Dumaru@mm was the virus.

yep, it's amazing how many junk emails you get with viruses in them. Norton seems to work quite well at detecting the dodgey ones.
