When my g/f turns on her computer sometimes you can just hear the power and it doesn't POST at all and then all of a sudden shuts down. And sometimes after that she starts it up again and it works fine. Would this be a hardware conflict or software problem?
She doesn't know anything about computers so she really doesn't know the specs and she goes to college about 70 miles away from me so I can't look at the computer right now. I know that she uses Win98.
