Going to buy new Hard drive?

Hi everyone, I am going to buy a new hard Drive instead of buying a SCSI controller to work with the two SCSI drives I have
I can spend up to $80.00 bucks.

please suggest one! and I want to make sure my BIOS will work with the new big drive.

Code: 92923224 Maxtor 120GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache hard drive $109.84 - $15 in link - $30 rebate = $64.84. Item 678808 You must select in store pickup to see lower price.
$30 rebate Exp 9/6/03

rebate http://rebates.teg-online.com/office...asp?sku=678808

office depot

see http://www.techbargains.com/

Its a maxtor 120g follow the instructions at the techbargains site.

Maybe doubtful if that motherboard will support this big a drive. Maybe better with an 80g or something. Or else you may have to get a controller card to allow the bigger size. I think the 160g and above usually come with cards.

if you arent familiar with rebates..be SURE, ABSOLUTELY SURE to fill it all out correctly and DOUBLE SURE to make copies of everythign, upc, rebate forms, receiept etc...cuz they will try to rip u off, lol.

Bill,

Consider getting two or more smaller HDD's for the following reasons:
1.) Backing up a 120 gig drive can be a pain and is expensive if you have a bunch of data.
2.) If it crashes, you lose everything you haven't backed up and everything will need to be reloaded if recovery fails.
3.) Using multiple smaller drives eases the pain of #1 & 2 above.

I like two or more 40 to 60 gig drives.
