James Earl Jones...You Got till Tuesday

[rant]Get your breakdancing waterskiing @ss to my house by tuesday and fix this damn slow internet. i am getting ISDN speeds when i should normally be getting 600-700kbits. I have waited for 3..3 days now, of the internet disconnecting and going miserablly slow, at times slower than diaulup...and im getting sick of it. the last weekend before school and i cant game

If you dont fix it, i dont care how, send "can you hear me now" or whoever, your gonna get an angry person calling your tech support.

[/end rant]

so... Anyone else have miserablly slow connection with verizon latley?

LMAO!!!

That is funny. I haven't had a miserable connection with Verizon, but Roadrunner has been a real pain in my neck lately. That count?

i dont know where their central office is located, but im 21.3 miles from philadelphia, and i know they have a big building with verizon on top of it, would that be it?

i remember them saying that the southampton area was going to be upgraded to the 1.5/256 but i still think we are at 768/128

sixfoot, what kind of d/l speeds do you get with that?

slow internet is killing me

1.5 down and 128k up

about 300 yards from the CO.

the CO is like a little building they will put up in your area, you need to be within a mile of that CO to get it. so you might be close to out of range

this was driving me crazy.....my neigbor has the same thing and his speeds were fine.....hmmm....

well i started looking through the computers and BAM!!!

found a copy of emule running on one of em slowing the whole network down...hogging all the bandwidth...turned that mofo off and im running good again

Oh well....a visit from james earl jones would have been nice anyway

ur lucky sixfoot...i wish i had those speeds....oh well, another thing to complain to james earl jones about

EDIT: sweeper, make sure you dont have a some p2p program running on one of yoru computers it slows the whole network of em.....that seems to have fixed my problem at least.
