okay - defrag apparently doesn't move unfragmented files into a contiguous smaller space. I need to move these stray files at the end of my drive so i can repartition it and install Linux. Anyone know offhand how i can identify which files these are so i can either manually move them - or know of a utility that will handle this for me? I'm on XP Home. (I know, i know, big mistake. but i'm moving to a REAL operating system now!

But i have to maintain windows on my system, too for work and interfacing with applications at work.)
Expedient help would be greatly appreaciated as i'd like to get moving on this!!!
TIA!
Scott
(Sheesh - even windows 98 defrag utility did this right!)
