I'm about to shoot something

Finally got the RMA'd Epox 8RDA+ from Newegg. Didn't get a chance to get it all together until tonight.

With anticipation, I turn on the power....SAME DAMN THING!

NO BOOT! WTF! I'm quickly becoming a non fan of Epox. I'm going to mess with this all day tomorrow before I jump to conclusions, but I'm not getting anything outta this board. At least the other one booted and then died! ARGH!

I've been searching online and finding out there are a large number of people having problems with this board....what happened? I read nothing but good things about this board not that long ago, now it seems to be a whole lotta bad....

Kids

Don't take this wrong, I don't mean to insult anyone, but is the power supply set to 115 and not 230? I went nuts once trying to figure out why a board wouldn't even post and it was the voltage setting.

(Please don't aim your gun this way. )

...are you sure it's not the CPU that's dead?

Better not be the CPU, it tested fine on my wifes MOBO. The powersupply hasn't been touched ( it was running my Abit ), so I can pretty safely rule that out. I'm betting that I've got another dead board.

DAMNIT ALL TO HELL!

You testing them in the case or sitting out to the side?

Probably best to have it sitting out on a non static surface..if it's in the case it could be shorted that way...boot it on a table or something..psu, cpu,vid card, one stick ram.

I'm going to test it on the foam padding that it shipped with with a PCI card, the processor, ram, and the powersupply...I cannot think of a more basic way to test it than that.
