Second Hard Drive Not Shown

I have added a second hard drive. I have formatted and partitioned. Problem now it is not shown in My Computer or Windows Exp. It IS shown everywhere else. Bios, Device Mgr. Disk Management. What do I need to do to have it recognized in My Computer and Windows Exp? I have Asus A7N8X mobo, Windows XP. Note this is an old hard drive.

Yes, pins set as Master and primary slave. The hard drive I added is an old Seagate 20GB. The master is Maxtor 40GB.

Yes I did. IT was partitioned and formatted and assigned F drive. It shows up everywhere except My Computer and Windows Exp. It even shows up in Diskkeeper Lite.

Could you provide us with a screenshot of Disk Management?

What does it do when you go to Windows Explorer and type F:\ in the location bar?

Do you mean it isn't showing up in the directory tree, AKA Explorer?

Save a file to it and see if you can retreive it from Start/documents/...

OK soulja, thanks for the replies. I`ll keep working on it. I`ll check pin settings again to be sure. I`ve only opened the case about 400 times today.LOL Thanks again!
